SENTENCING OF SIX POLICE OFFICERS

Talking Point:

It saddens me when I read about police officers being charged and found 
guilty of crimes because I've known so many cops in my life who are good 
people and great friends. Who I am today is due in part to the positive 
influence that some cops have had on my life during the years.

These six Vancouver Police Department officers, whose actions were 
undoubtedly below the behavioral standards of police conduct, have admitted 
their guilt and are willing to accept the consequences of their actions. 
This test of their integrity may help them to develop into fine officers 
one day.
