DECRIMINALIZING POT NOT ABOUT USE, BUT LAW

I'm writing in response to Brenda McDonald's letter of July 17,
Legalization Of Pot. Ms. McDonald stated she has seen first-hand how
pot makes people lazy. I work with lazy people every day who do not
smoke pot.

Ms. McDonald then uses her prejudices and stereotyping to say that
those in cheap housing, those on welfare and mothers' allowance are
there because they're too lazy. I assume from smoking pot? Good morals
say not to judge people, and you have. People do put their best foot
forward and for those who don't, it's people with prejudices who will
kick that foot out when they have tried.

As far as tax dollars go, I wish I could keep all mine, however since
I'm a person of personal responsibility, I don't mind those tax
dollars helping out my fellow Canadians who can't always help themselves.

Decriminalization of pot isn't about freedom of use, it's about laws
reflecting these times. The issue was about decriminalization and all
you did was blame those less fortunate than yourself. Stop being so
judgmental of your fellow human beings. Nobody is perfect.
