This as he reiterated for the nth time that the city government has nothing to do with the killings. In his television program "Gikan sa Masa, Para sa Masa", Duterte said the killings against suspected drug criminals went on even during the time he was not mayor of the city and will continue even after he retires from office for as long as there are innocent lives destroyed by the illegal drugs. "There are many people who do not want drugs to destroy the their children's lives. Dunay mga doktor, abogado og konsehal nga naigo ug droga. Kung kanang mga propesyonal madani pa man gani anang droga (There are doctors, lawyers, coucnilors who have been addicted. If despite being professions they were still enticed), how much more ang mga bata," Duterte said. The mayor then warned, for the nth time also, drug pushers to leave Davao City and transfer somewhere else. "Kamong mga drug pushers sugdi na ninyog ambak. Panlangoy na mo karon padulong sa Saranggani o Indonesia (You, drug pushers, start jumping off now. Start swimming to Saranggani or Indonesia)," Duterte said. Reactive Idiots At the same time, Duterte again lashed at the so-called human rights organizations that continue to criticize the city government and the city police for their alleged failure to stop the series of summary executions that now number to more than 50 since January of this year. Calling them "reactive idiots", the mayor said what they should be doing is secure copy of the drug suspects list from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and make pro-active efforts in convincing these suspects to reform. "Naa man kaha moy pondo (You have funds). Go out of your way and persuade these guys to reform. May pera naman kayo, bigyan nyo ng pera para makapagbago sila. Since you have the bleeding heart, do it. Kesa magsige mo ug dala ug placard og magprotesta sa dalan (Instead of just carrying placards and protesting in the streets). You are just wasting your time," said Duterte. - --- MAP posted-by: Keith Brilhart
