PROPER PARENTING DETERES ILLEGAL DRUG USE

The best deterrent to illegal drug use is proper parenting and education. 
Our jails are already overflowing with people who have been arrested and 
sentenced for everything from simple possession to drug trafficking, not to 
mention the crimes associated with illicit drug use: theft, domestic 
battery, DUI, assault and murder. More laws are not the answer.

Educating our children and better parenting skills, i.e. knowing who your 
children hang out with, where they are and meeting the parents of other 
kids before allowing your kids to hang out with them, are the long-term 
solutions.
