CANNABIS 'SUPERHERO' SLAMMED

ANTI-DRUGS campaigners have hit out at 'immoral' comics starring a
cannabis-smoking superhero called Ganjaman.

Hundreds of copies of the UKP3, 36-page adult comic, part of the Z-Men
series, have already been sold in Scotland.

In the latest edition, Ganjaman - created by Glaswegian Jim Stewart,
39 - battles Doctor Bong, who poisons cigarettes so smokers become
flesh-eating zombies. Bong also sends henchmen to kill Chancellor
Gordon Brown. Gaille McCann, of Mothers Against Drugs, slammed the
comics, saying: 'Anything that pokes fun at Glasgow's dire drugs
situation is a disgrace. 'These comics don't show the real damage
cannabis can do. It can lead to schizophrenia and serious mental
health problems.'
