DRUGS: REFORM NEEDED

Dear Editor,

While Ken J. Marsh [Legalization results without proof, Oct. 1 Letters to
the Editor, Langley Advance News] does not believe crime and violence will
decrease as a result of credible drug law reform, we do have one historic
and somewhat scientific example.

For 10 years after the end of the original prohibition, murder rates went down.

Just like the original prohibition, which brought famous Al Capones, the
sequel has the Osama bin Ladens.

North America needs credible drug law reform, and there is reason to
believe murder and other crime rates will decrease, along with other
positive results.
