THE PARTY'S OVER

Wellington OPP harvested and destroyed 957 marijuana plants valued at 
$489,000 during the last growing season.

Most of the plants were harvested by uniform officers called by farmers.

The numbers reflect only the plants that were recovered without charges 
laid. They don't include any drugs seized by police in any raid where 
arrests were made.

Still, says Const. Jennifer Smith, "This is a lot of marijuana that didn't 
make it to our communities in Wellington County.
