BIG GOVERNMENT

Re "Hope for healing," Nov. 26: It seems odd that Bush speaks so
passionately against "big government" and yet he wants his
administration to dictate what a licensed physician can or cannot
recommend to help a patient.Voters in state after state are saying
"Yes" to medical marijuana. Sick and elderly patients complying with
state law need safe access to their doctor-recommended medicine
without interference from the federal government.

It is time for the Bush administration to end its war against sick and
elderly medical marijuana patients.
