The over 600 stones was recovered in a bus from Kitale destined for Nairobi. Police also netted an additional 103 stones from three different buses along the Eldoret-Nakuru highway. A driver, his conductor and three passengers are being held at the Eldama Ravine police station and are assisting police in the investigation. Koibatek OCPD Golicha Roba displayed suitcases, a steel box and other bags outside the police station, which were being used to transport the illegal drug. Police at Hill Tea shopping centre at Mumberes waylaid the bus carrying the bhang after the law enforcers received a tip-off. Roba said an hour later, another bus also heading to Nairobi from Kakamega was stopped at the roadblock where another haul was recovered. The bhang was packed in steel boxes. Police arrested the bus driver and his conductor after all the passengers disowned the luggage.
