JETSON GUARD ACCUSED OF HAVING MARIJUANA AT CENTER

A Jetson Correctional Center for Youth guard is on administrative leave
after being accused of bringing marijuana into the facility on Christmas night.

Craig Wilson, 21, 5265 Glen Oaks Drive, is accused of bringing six "small
bags" of what is suspected to be marijuana and four suspected marijuana
cigarettes into Jetson on Saturday.

Jetson spokesman Marvin Hurst said the suspected drugs were found during a
random search during shift change.

An internal investigation is under way to determine if the drugs were
brought in to distribute to the inmates, other employees or for personal
use, Hurst said.

Wilson was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on counts of entering
contraband into a penal institution, possession of marijuana and
malfeasance in office.

Bond was set at $15,000.

Hurst said Wilson has worked at Jetson for eight months.
