ISSUE ID CARDS FOR LEGAL MARIJUANA

As a retired police officer, I appreciated your editorial on medical
marijuana. Federal law enforcement aside, this is a state's rights
issue, the same as alcohol. Authorizing patients in Wisconsin to
legally possess marijuana would present few problems to law
enforcement.

Patients could have an ID card issued by the state to possess
marijuana, like the state issues a license to drive on the road. Show
the card and there is no issue for the officer.
