WHAT HAPPENS TO SEIZED POT?

It has come to my attention that the Chico Police Department has for
the last 20 years as its standard operating procedure asked Chico
residents to give them their marijuana and/or paraphernalia and they
will not write them a ticket for possession. I believe this has
happened thousands of times, to students mostly. This happens to be
the worst thing an officer of the law can perpetrate upon the public
and their reputation. What happens to the paraphernalia and the pot?
No reports have been written on these incidents. The Sheriff's Office
says these incidents are felonies, substantiated by the ACLU. Now they
are asking for more dogs to further perpetrate these atrocities on the
public.

Are the police officers tested and have they used or sold any of the
confiscated "contraband"? What happened to it? This standard operating
procedure cannot stand. If it takes a class-action suit, so be it. Has
this happened to you? If so you may reach me at the Chico Cannabis
Club to sign the suit at 899-1777.
