They are former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean, Sens. John Edwards and John Kerry, Rep. Dennis Kucinich and Al Sharpton. MEDICINAL MARIJUANA Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maine, Nevada, Oregon and Washington allow medical use of marijuana, but possession remains illegal under federal law. Bush: Has opposed legalization. Dean: Would have Food and Drug Administration study issue, then follow FDA recommendation. Edwards: Opposes legalization until medicinal benefits are proved.
