METHADONE DECISION

It seems like some people in this area are "getting it." What are they
getting, one may ask?

Thanks to Washington County Administrator Mark Reeter for "getting it" that
the residents of Bristol, and most likely the entire county, do not want a
methadone clinic in their county, and for turning down the request from
Appalachian Treatment Services.

Apparently Larry Worley, clinic operator, is "getting it" also, when he
said he was worried the proposed restrictions in the zoning amendment would
rule out any clinic in Washington County. You got it, Mr. Worley!

Now, if we could ever get the U.S. Food & Drug Administration to "get it"
that most people don't care if they can "guarantee the safety" of
prescription drugs imported from Canada, possibly this (competition) may
result in lower drug prices for everyone.
