IT'S NOBODY'S BUSINESS

I choose not to smoke anything. This decision was made by me, not
legislation.

Seldom do I concur with the Fraser Institute on anything, but at least
they're consistent on this one.

Since it's unlikely the government will give up vast gambling profits
out of a sense of moral duty, any squeamishness about marijuana seems
absurd and hypocritical.

If consenting adults wish to smoke marijuana in the privacy of their
own homes, it's nobody's business but their own and I don't think they
should be prosecuted unless they get behind the wheel of a car.

If public health is a concern, government and police ought to step
aside and let groups like the Cancer Society and the Lung Association
get to work.

Their campaigning has been more effective at discouraging tobacco
smoking than any legislation. I'm confident they could do the same for
drugs.
