RIGHT THING TO DO

Again, we plead with our county leadership and law enforcement
officers to take aggressive action against the county drug abuse
crisis -- don't drop the ball now.

Citizens in the health industry, from other parts of the Mountain
State, speak of Logan and Mingo counties as being dangerous
"drug-crazed" regions where even pharmaceutical salesmen must carry
concealed weapons for their protection, because they often carry
medicinal samples, they risk their lives each day when they work in
our area.

There are youngsters in our grade schools and junior highs that are
deeply involved in illegal drug and alcohol abuse. Pushers know how to
hook them while they're young.

Furthermore, citizens in every neighborhood know where the local
pushers dwell. Can't anything be done, so that our children and
grandchildren will have a future? With things continuing as they are,
it will be a miracle if any Logan County child survives the evils of
the drug culture. So, on behalf of the county population, we ask -- we
demand -- that the county elected officials take a stand to overturn
this crisis. We invite any elected official to step forward and
contact us. Tell us, and the people of Logan, what you plan to do to
make our county a safe and better place to live and raise a family.

Please do something about this crisis - because it's the right thing
to do!
