PUSHER GETS LIFE FOR P100 SHABU

A DRUG pusher was sentenced to life imprisonment by a Malabon City Regional 
Trial Court judge a year after he was caught selling shabu worth P100.

In his six-page decision,Malabon City RTC Judge Benjamin Aquino of Branch 
72 found Emilio Rivera, of legal age, of Pitong Gatang, Dampalit, guilty of 
violating Republic Act 9165 (Dangerous Drugs Law).

The court also asked Rivera to pay P500,000.

Court records showed Rivera was nabbed on October 21, 2002 near his house 
by the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Malabon City Police.

A poseur-buyer, PO2 Allan Llantino, pounced on Rivera as the pusher handed 
him a sachet of shabu worth P100.

A plastic sachet containing shabu worth P100 was confiscated from the suspect.
