MARIJUANA LAWS

To the editor:

The people in Alaska have got to be the most stupid people in the
world when it comes to the law. The state of Alaska and the United
States government have no authority over marijuana, its use or sale.

The government employees are only playing upon people's fear to gain
power over families and property. It was Hitler who said that if you
tell a lie long enough and hard enough, people will start to believe
it. Marijuana is not a drug, and it's not man-made or created by the
government.

I do not use marijuana myself, but I knew some sick people who did. In
real law, marijuana is an herb protected by the First
Amendment--"Religion." Read the book of Genesis, Chapter 2 of the
bible, and the Ninth and 13th amendments to the Constitution.

Marijuana is like any other herb and can be sold like them. The real
enemy is government with its mindless people on a power trip to take
away our rights. A man once said you teach the people the law and they
will govern themselves. If people would just stop fighting over who is
right or wrong and start reading the law, we would see the law working
for us.

I understand no one can give anyone more power than he has himself. I
do not have the right to stop someone doing something that does not
hurt others, and I cannot give more power than I have myself. So who
can? Prohibitive law versus compulsory law.
