In exchange for his plea agreement the government agreed to drop two of the drug charges, one of which carried a possible life sentence. Prosecutors will also dismiss a second indictment for child pornography possession. In accordance with agreements between his attorneys and federal prosecutors, Tate will serve 168 months in a federal prison.
