Several companies are taking that idea to another level, marketing lollipops that taste like marijuana. Chronic Candy from California sells hemp-flavored lollipops in $5 "nickel bags," drug slang for a $5 bag of marijuana. The firm's advertising slogan is "Every lick is like taking a hit." ICUP Inc. of New Jersey sells Pot Suckers, which it says "taste like the real deal." Neither company's candy contains THC, the ingredient in marijuana that produces a high. Opponents say the lollipops encourage and train young people to use marijuana. We agree. Thumbs down to this ridiculous concept. - --- MAP posted-by: Larry Seguin
