The victim was one Mamalagdan Dima, 50, of the Maranao tribe. Initial investigation by the San Pedro police revealed that Dima was sitting in front of ESB Bakeshoppe at around 7 a.m. when two men aboard a motorcycle stopped near him. One of the suspects approached the victim and without provocation shot him in the head. Meanwhile, a businessman, who passed by the scene of the crime scene, was hit with a stray bullet in the nose. Wounded was one Dionisio Malanog, 61, a businessman at Ecoland terminal. Dima and Malanog were brought to the Davao Doctor's Hospital. Malanog was already declared out of danger. "We will conduct further investigation because Dima does not have any record on drugs," said Senior Police 0fficer 1 Jay Reuben Plaza, San Pedro police station investigator. Plaza said they are looking into the possibility that the shooting of Dima has something to do with the reported disagreements within the vendors association. In another report, two teenagers believed to be members of the "Disenteng Rugby Boys Gang" were also shot to death by motorcycle-riding gunmen along Solid Aquino St. in Agdao, at around 11 p.m., Friday. Dead were Jeffrey del Rio, 24 and Lyndon Lumanta, 18, both of the same place. Rio and Lumanta, who were described by the police as frequent lawbreakers, succumbed to gunshot wounds in the head and the different parts of their body. - ---
