Parker IF THEY'RE SO FOCUSED ON DRUGS, TEST THEM, TOO To the Editor: I call on Rep. Walsh and Sens. Clinton and Schumer to introduce legislation mandating drug testing of all elected officials in Washington. Not that I support drug testing; but "what's good for the goose is good for the gander." As women and children are being raped and murdered in Darfur, these fools waste precious time forcing professional athletes to stop using drugs. In itself it's a fine idea, but there are much more important things going on in the world. I know, drugs are bad. But issues like genocide and international terrorism take priority. However, if they want to keep wasting time on "dope," then I say we force them to urinate in a cup in order to keep their jobs. And don't think none of those cups will end up testing positive for marijuana, powder cocaine or even heroin. Rich people do coke. Rich people do dope. Why should factory workers and athletes be the only ones tested? CHARLES D. PARKER Syracuse - --- MAP posted-by: SHeath(DPFFlorida)
