Growing marijuana in America's parks and forests is a direct consequence of an insane drug crusade. Rather than boycotting ganja, we should legalize it, regulate it and tax it. With legalization and regulation, there will no longer be any problems with environmental damage from outlaw pot growers because legalization will end the black market and marijuana will be grown on regular cropland. The destruction of protected public lands is another unintended negative result of a lunatic reefer madness campaign that serves no useful purpose.
