ANTI-DRUG COUNCIL TAPS PARENTS, COMMUNITY IN FIGHT
AGAINST DRUGS

The city government is tapping parents and teachers associations,
homeowners organizations and people in the grassroots in its effort
against illegal drugs.

Atty. Eliseo Braganza head of the Anti-Drug Abuse Council said that
on top of the reward offered by Mayor Rodrigo Duterte for informers
who could provide information on drug syndicates, drug laboratories
and the like, ADAC is also networking in the community to the drugs
problem in the city.

The programs include sustained networking with Naghiusang Masa Batok
sa Droga which involves civic groups, associations, trisikad operators
and drivers associations.

Naghiusang Ginikanan Batok sa Droga involves parents and teachers
association; while Naghiusang Tig-Balita sa Droga will involve the
National Press Club and the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster sa Pilipinas;
and the Naghiusang Barangay Batok sa Droga will involve barangay purok
leaders and officials.

Information are acquired from all sources and any information relating
to drugs will be confidential to safeguard the name of the informant.

The ongoing campaign against illegal drugs is the concern of everyone,
he said.

ADAC said it is very important to have an effective involvement of the
