Details of the incident were sketchy at deadline. However, OPP Constable Brad Filman confirmed that Const. Brockley was taken to hospital with minor neck injuries following the incident. Two other OPP officers were also injured. One officer was from Haliburton County OPP but no information about the other officer was available at deadline. Const. Filman confirmed the officers are members of the Kawartha Combined Forces Drug Unit and were investigating a drug offence near Gooderham in Haliburton County. In a press release issued Thursday, Haliburton Highlands OPP said an officer from that detachment attempted to stop a vehicle when a driver ignored him. His vehicle was damaged along with two others. Late Thursday afternoon, police were still searching for the suspects and had a command post set up in the Gooderham area. The OPP's Criminal Investigation Branch is conducting the investigation along with the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP and the Haliburton County Crime Unit officers. - --- MAP posted-by: Elizabeth Wehrman
