By freely choosing to ingest this unknown substance, did it not occur to Sandra Bergen that she may be placing herself in danger? She is fortunate to be alive, but this lawsuit smacks of retribution gone awry. Crystal meth is a dangerous drug, especially because of potential impurities in the street product. But we should remember that it used to be sold as over-the-counter diet pills for years, and has been known as "speed" for decades. We should also remember a popular saying invented by the experienced youth of the late-1960s: "speed kills." Jason Gogal Saskatoon - --- MAP posted-by: Matt Elrod
