CHOOSE LEGALIZATION

We can try to resist the shift in consensus regarding marijuana and 
other illegal drugs or we can adapt to it.

To continue to resist the call to end prohibition of cannabis will be 
costly, erode our rights and freedoms as individuals and diminish us 
as a nation of tolerance and understanding.

The Health Officers Council Discussion Paper isn't ground-breaking or 
new. But it is one of a growing number of reports and recommendations 
to end the prohibition of illegal drugs.

We can either ignore it or embrace it.

I hope we don't ignore it or the earlier reports that have made the 
same recommendations.
