TOKING UP MEDICINE IN THE HOSPITAL

Re: Medical Marijuana Rules Still In A Haze, Nov. 12.

My wife and I both have federal medical marijuana licences. Although
the program itself has been declared unconstitutional by more than
one court, the Marihuana Medical Access Regulations (MMAR) for public
use are clear and based on common sense.

When my wife recently spent a day at the hospital for tests, we had
to go outside to the designated smoking area. This area was crowded
with tobacco smokers, so we had to find another place further away.

People shouldn't be allowed to "smoke" in hospitals, but in the event
that a medical marijuana user cannot get outside and needs to use
their medicine, exceptions should be made. Their life could depend on it.

We don't want to be in everyone's face; we just want to be treated fairly.
