SQUATS PROVED TO BE EFFECTIVE

Bachok, Thurs

A police procedure yielded results when a suspect was asked to perform
squats.

A suspected dadah pusher ejected a small bottle containing what is
believed to be dadah when asked to do squats in Chabang Empat Salam,
Rantau Panjang, on Friday.

Kelantan police narcotics chief DSP Zaaba Budin said the bottle
slipped out of the 32-year-old's anus.

He had earlier been stopped at a roadblock mounted by the
Anti-Smuggling Unit.

"The suspect was in a car when stopped about 5.30pm. He was taken to a
nearby hut and told to remove his clothes and do squats. That was when
the bottle emerged from his anus," he said.

He said the suspect from Terengganu was then taken to the district
police headquarters for questioning.

In another case, a 43-year-old woman was molested by a man at a public
toilet here yesterday.

She was leaving the toilet about 5pm when the man approached her and
hugged her.

"The man tried to lift her sarong. She screamed and he fled," he
said.

The woman told her husband about the incident before lodging a police
report.
