REHAB CENTRE ABLE TO PUT ADDICTS BACK INTO SOCIETY

I'm writing this letter to somehow try to convince this city or
government to find in their wisdom a way to fund the Salvation Army
treatment centre.

As a recovering drug addict (coming up on five years clean), without
the support of all the wonderful and tireless people who help out day
in and day out, I would be costing the taxpayers even more. Because of
their after-care program, I am able to hold a steady job, be a father
and give back to society instead of taking.

I'm able to see, time and time again, the great miracles that the
treatment centre has performed for myself and others, so if we can all
agree that drugs and alcohol are a major problem in our city, then
let's be part of the solution, instead of hoping somehow it will just
go away.
