ASK JUNIOR: DRUGS ARE THE ISSUE, NOT GUNS

Re: Gunfight Result Of Turf War, Dec. 28.

How is it that a semi-literate street thug named Junior understands
the roots of Toronto's gun crime, while our intellectual elite seem
so out of touch? Junior knows that the simple answer to all this
mayhem is to put him and the rest of his ilk out of business by
legalizing drugs.

Prohibition of alcohol in the United States caused an unprecedented
wave of crime, violence and corruption. Roosevelt repealed
Prohibition, and the Capone generation of thugs were out of business.
And the United States did not turn into a nation of drunks.

Let's learn from the past. Send Junior and the rest of his dullard
thugs packing. Legalizing drugs is the only way to win the war on
drugs, and a big step to the return of a civil society.
