ANTI-DRUG AGENCY HAS NO LIST OF 'VIGILANTE'
VICTIMS

* They only have list of drug surrenderees, says Superintendent
Wilkins Villanueva, PDEA 11 chief

THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 11 chief Wilkins
Villanueva admits they don't have actual list of the killed victims in
January nor do they know how many of them are really involved in
illegal drugs.

Villanueva, in a press conference at the Task Force Davao (TFD) Office
Thursday, said PDEA has a list of drug surrenderers but they are not
sure whether some of them, who were already killed, had surrendered
last year, as told in some reports.

Statistics showed almost half of the 45 people killed by suspected
vigilantes in January this year were involved in gang riots and
snatching cases but most of the victims' relatives alleged they have
already reformed.

Meanwhile, Mayor Rodrigo Duterte said he is after drug peddlers and
not the users. He said most of the peddlers, who claim they have
already surrendered and changed, are actually still into the illegal
drug trade.
