SHAME ON NORTH BURNABY NIMBYS: LANGLEY

Shame on those North Burnaby residents who fear the Luke 15 transition
house being in their neighborhood. They obviously have no fact based
information of addictions, recovery or the track record of the house
itself. From all accounts, Luke 15 had been doing an excellent job in
its former location and supporting the positive changes its residents
have made. It is the unwarranted fear, from only a few, that has
caused this situation. Having experience working in the field of
addictions, it is also obvious that the "not in my backyard believers"
are fear mongers and ignorant of the valuable services transition
houses are to our communities. Educate yourselves through truth and
not through fear.
