END THE FIGHT

To the Editor:

As a retired police officer, I know that the meth lab is simply the
moonshine still of the 21st century; busting one up is useless as
another springs up to take its place. I worry as my colleagues are
forced to raid a meth lab, it is truly dangerous and ultimately futile
work. Ending drug prohibition would allow my fellow officers to again
concentrate on public safety threats like drunk drivers and child
molesters. If an adult chooses to burn their brains up with meth or
alcohol, let them deal with the consequences of their poor choice.
