NO LINK BETWEEN GROW-OPS AND OFFICERS' SLAYINGS

Re: Father recalls 'full-on devil,' sister a softie, March 7

James Roszko had a long history of violent crime, including child
molestation, the whole town was aware that he had guns on his property and
feared him, his own friends described him as a "psycho," and the local
police were aware that he had guns, would shoot anyone who trespassed on his
property and hated cops. But the RCMP sent those officers (from media
reports, two sets of two officers at two different times) to guard the
property alone under the assumption that this guy wasn't there but was
coming back.

The RCMP went to the farm to look for stolen car parts and found a grow-op
as well. So their deaths became an issue about tougher penalties for
grow-ops.

Are our politicians so intellectually challenged that they can't see the
real issue here? Why did a man with a violent criminal history have guns?
Since the authorities knew he was armed, were these guns licensed? If they
were, does that seem right? As well, we have to question why those officers
were put in such a dangerous position.

I'm sure that many RCMP officers would agree: Guns killed these men, not
plants.
