I have to agree with Ian Wainberg's comments (Letters, March 9). I
think what happened to the Mounties was horrible and I feel for what
their families are going through. But I am all for the legalization of
marijuana (this coming from someone who does not smoke it). People
seem to think that if we legalize it everyone will all of a sudden
start smoking pot. Well, the people who smoke pot now will be the same
people smoking if it become legal. If we were to legalize it then we
could regulate it. It would create jobs and, as usual, the government
would be making a profit from it. Let's stop being so anal.

(Our government has never talked about legalizing the growing of
marijuana, only decriminalizing possession)
