Now that they have been freed from Taliban domination and are no longer harboring terrorists, there are no limits to achieving a free and prosperous future. There is a California missionary group who is helping restore Afghanistan by providing free fruit trees to those who agree to plant and nurture them. It would be a giant step forward if they could replace their opium poppies with fruitful trees. This group can place a young fruit tree in the hands of a willing Afghan for $2. Readers, please join this missionary group with your prayers and donations to: Bare Roots Fruit Tree Project, 72 Kensington Road, San Anselmo, Calif. 94960. Also, please request that your newspaper provide us with periodic progress reports. Dave Cannon, Fort Pierce - --- MAP posted-by: Jay Bergstrom
