RCMP TRAGEDY USED FOR POLITICAL POINTS

I wish to begin by extending my heartfelt expression of sorrow over
the murder of the RCMP members in the recent tragedy in Alberta; our
prayers, condolences and sympathy are extended to their families,
friends and community.

Unfortunately, this appalling tragedy is being exploited by political
opportunists who can't wait to spin this terrible crime to promote
their agenda of escalating cannabis prohibition.

Life leaves clues. Have we learned nothing from alcohol prohibition?
How many law enforcement members were sacrificed in that fiasco?

How many gangsters made fortunes from it? Alberta's former Liberal
Senator Nick Taylor says that this incident proves once again that
prohibition is a failed policy, whether for alcohol, tobacco or
marijuana, it just doesn't work. I believe he's right and so do the
members of "Law Enforcement Against Prohibition" (leap.com).

It would be a fitting legacy if the tragic loss of these young
Mounties becomes the turning point to finally end this prohibition and
violence.
