CHANGE POT STRATEGIES

I have always found Canadians' fascination with being able to drink on the
street in other countries to be very interesting. Actually, the most
interesting thing is that the "no drinking on the street ban" can be
enforced at all without a complete liquor ban, because Canada seems to be
quite unique in this category.

In Greg Knill's March 23 editorial, "Logic goes up in smoke", he is very
right when he says that we should not give up on the fight over marijuana
grow ops.

We very desperately need to change our strategies, though. And for a
country that can regulate alcohol so well, I fail to see why we couldn't
successfully regulate the growing, distribution, and use of marijuana.
Maybe the cops could have a fighting chance against the meanies then too.
