DRUG SUSPECTS KILLED RANDOMLY IN CANDABA

CANDABA -- It seems that notorious drug peddlers' days in this town
are numbered as another suspected drug pusher was summary executed by
still unidentified individuals, reports said.

Chief Inspector Jovencio Flores, town's police chief, identified the
victim as Juanito Garcia alias "Boy Tulis", 42 years old and a
resident of Barangay Visal Sto. Nino, this town.

Flores said the victim was a well-known suspected drug pusher
operating in the 14 barangays of the Tagalog Region here and in some
parts of the Bulacan province.

It can be recalled that a certain Nelson U. Salaysay, another
suspected drug pusher, was shot dead recently in Barangay Mangga, also
of this town.

It was learned that Garcia was only out on bail as he was charged for
violation of Republic Act (RA) 6425 at the Malolos Regional Trial Court.

The victim's body was dumped half submerged in a stream in Sitio
Mandianong, Barangay San Agustin, also of this town.

Flores added that "Boy Tulis," described to have a fair complexion,
short-haired, slim built at a five-feet eight frame, wearing maong
pants with black leather belt, and white t-shirt was found lying face
upward and he was handcuffed on his back.

An autopsy conducted at the Nolasco Funeral Parlor in Sta. Ana town
revealed that the victim died of a lone gunshot wound on his chest. A
bullet exit-point was noted at the victim's back.

The police also noted that the victim was handcuffed, leading to a
theory that Garcia was a victim of summary execution.

They also theorized that the victim was killed somewhere else and was
only dumped here to mislead the investigation.

As this developed, the victim's wife, identified as one Juanita
Garcia, disclosed that on April 31 her husband was invited through a
text message by a certain Efren Pangilinan of Barangay Cambahog,
Bustos, Bulacan to attend fiesta celebration.

The victim's wife added that on the same day, another text message was
received by their relative informing that the victim was abducted by
three unidentified armed men at Sitio Talampas, in the same barangay.

The message was followed by another text message informing them that
Garcia had already been released by his abductors.

Sensing that her husband was in danger, she reported the incident to
the Bustos Police Station.

However, she got no information from the Bustos police until she was
informed by the Candaba police of a dead person found in this town.

Police operatives here said they are now conducting follow up
operation to establish the identity of the suspects for the immediate
resolution of the crime.
