WE SHOULD DO OUR PART IN DRUG WAR

With regards to your report on the Lee County Planning Commission and the
methadone clinic issue, I see once again that a community that wants to win
the war on drugs is not willing to do what is necessary to win a battle. I
am always amused at the people who say "not in our neighborhood" when in
fact, those same people may very well have a neighbor or two addicted to
meth. They don't want a methadone clinic, yet they aren't concerned about
living in a community where meth use is most certainly alive as well as
manufactured. If we want to win the war on drugs, we must be realistic and
understand that it will not work if we as citizens aren't willing to do our
part.
