Drug informants are to receive P500 while the arresting policeman would get P2,000, Danao City police chief Larson Dechino said. Dechino said he would also give another P2,000 to a police officer who testifies in court against offenders who eventually are meted jail terms. Dechino said the drive does not mean the drug problem in the city has worsened. The drive's aim is to encourage civilians to get involved in the fight against offenders. "Aktibo man god ang mga local officials sa Danao City nga masumpo na g'yod ang problema sa illegal nga drugas mao nga mihatag sila og mga financial support sa polis. Ako lang usab nga gamiton aron pagdasig sa mga sibilyan nga moapil sa kampanya," said Dechino. Cebu Provincial Police Office shows that Danao City ranks third in the fight against illegal drugs with the Lapu-Lapu City police station leading the list. Talisay City is second. "Gituyo nako ni aron madasig ang mga polis ug dili magligoy-ligoy sa pagtestigos sa korte kay maka-reward man sila kon makonbikto ang ilang mga dinakpan," Dechino said. - ---
