ONLY THE PUBLIC CAN CHANGE RIDICULOUS MARIJUANA LAWS

The Supreme Court probably was correct in its decision Monday to uphold the
ban on the medical use of marijuana.

The majority indicated that they made the decision with reluctance but,
unlike the more creative Warren Court, they were not able to find a way to
reconcile their humane instincts with the preservation of the Constitution's
"commerce clause."

With both the Congress and President Bush subject to the will of the
un-Christian Christian Right, the obvious remedies are not available.
Congress will not repeal the ridiculous law prohibiting the medical use of
marijuana.

The FDA under Bush puts politics before science, so there will be no relief
from that entity.

Therefore, the public should exercise its right of self-rule, the intent of
which is known from the actions of 11 states, including Arizona. There
should be a national movement for jury nullification of enforcement of laws
against sick people and those who would help them.

If zealous federal prosecutors never can get a conviction, the cruel law
will be repealed by the people, and those in pain will get relief.
