RACING AGAINST DRUGS

More than 3,000 Grade 6 students will participate this week in an
energetic and interactive learning experience on the dangers of drugs
and alcohol.

The 10th annual Racing Against Drugs, hosted by Waterloo Regional
Police, takes place daily at police headquarters.

A public open house takes place tomorrow from 6 to 9 p.m.

Racing Against Drugs is designed to promote drug-free lifestyles
through a series of pit stops and interactive displays that emphasize
the importance of zero tolerance for substance abuse in highly
competitive and precision based sports such as car racing.

Tomorrow's open house will feature Racing Against Drugs displays and
activities, as well as entertainment by the Winged Wheels, a precision
motorcycle team from Toronto Police Service, children's entertainer
Erick Traplin, local dance teams and the Ontario Table Tennis
Association.

An M&M charity barbecue will also be held.
