MEDICAL PROBLEM

I'm getting a little sick and tired of people who do not live in the 
Downtown Eastside and have no experience dealing with drug addiction 
commenting that the safe-injection site should be closed. People from 
the suburbs who never leave their quiet little enclave have no idea 
what this is all about.

Drug addiction is a medical problem, not a criminal one.

Unless you have lived in the area, experienced the problems and seen 
how much the injection site helps, then you have no idea what you are 
talking about.

People don't choose to become drug addicts, just like people don't 
choose to get cancer.
