BAD CHOICES, DEADLY OUTCOME

I understand that the family of Angilo Freeland, who killed Deputy
Matt Williams and wounded Deputy Doug Speirs, is asking for an
investigation into why he was shot so many times. Perhaps they should
be asking for an investigation into why their relative was not
obeying the laws of the state: driving without a valid license, using
an alias, carrying a concealed weapon and dealing drugs. He was
obviously leading a lifestyle of a criminal and he posed a danger to
the community.

To the family's attorney, Mr. Irvin, were you there? His statement
"To my understanding, he didn't point a gun at anybody," tells me you
are making an assumption. After all, Mr. Freeland had already killed
one man, wounded another and attempted to shoot two others. He could
have given himself up to law enforcement by walking out of that
wooded area waving his shirt, but he made a different choice.

Life is all about the choices we make and Mr. Freeland obviously made
some bad choices. He and he alone is responsible for the outcome of
his choices.
