On Nov. 28 at 7 p.m., Senator Larry Campbell will speak about issues of substance use and abuse at Kitchener Collegiate Institute, 787 King St. W., Kitchener. Campbell was born in Brantford and joined the RCMP is the 1960s, later establishing Vancouver's first district coroner's office. In 1996, he became the chief coroner for British Columbia. He was the inspiration and a collaborator for the TV show Da Vinci's Inquest. In 2002, Campbell became the mayor of Vancouver and implemented the four pillars Integrated Drug Strategy, focusing on prevention, harm reduction, treatment and enforcement. He was appointed to the Canadian Senate in 2005. The bus from Cambridge leaves the Ainslie Street terminal (taxi stand area) at 5:45 p.m., Langs Farm Village Association (887 Langs Dr.) at 6 p.m., and Preston Library (435 King St.) at 6:15 p.m. The bus will return to Cambridge at the conclusion of the event.
