Christensen SOME PLAIN OLD-FASHIONED PRACTICES CAN SOLVE MODERN CRIME PROBLEMS Here's A Solution to a Safer Community: 1. How about having the proposed state prison on Fire Island? 2. To solve teenage crime: Quit coddling and have reform schools like during the 1930s, where teens worked on the reform school farms. Waukesha, Wis., is an example. Good young men and women came out of those schools. 3. Have trade schools for learning to be a plumber, electrician, mechanic, etc. 4. Stop the drug trade by accepting the truth of how drugs are getting into this country. Learn from history and the age of not having to lock your doors. Ethel D.
