Students interested are required to go through a screening process. A maximum of 16 will be selected to live in a low-profile, drug-free hall in which they will receive support. Drug addiction is a frightening vice that takes many lives each year. The typical college environment, regardless of its region, is notorious for offering easy, affordable access to all sorts of drugs. The opportunity to live with others who are dedicated to sobriety is a powerful strategy for curbing the temptation to relapse. Program details are still not clear, so it is important that OSU takes the correct approach to this noble idea. With between 30 and 60 students seeking abuse counseling each week, the OSU campus could certainly benefit from such a recovery program. - --- MAP posted-by: Beth Wehrman
