SECRET REPORT MERELY TROTS OUT THE RCMP'S OLD PREJUDICES ABOUT DRUG USE

Thanks to traffic signals, safer vehicles and driver education,
venturing out on the roads is substantially safer than it otherwise
would be. The reason? Harm reduction. That's what happens in a civil
society that cares for itself. It did not happen overnight.

So when are the naysayers about supervised injection sites going to
get it? The sites are only part of a long-term agenda to deal with
the terrible problems caused by drug abuse for addicts and society at
large. Supervised sites and harm reduction are just the start.
Education, counselling, detox and rehabilitation all have to be in
place before the carnage and disease caused by drug abuse is reduced.
Isn't this what social progress is supposed to be about? Let's not go
backwards.
